Yamba Tribe and Their Culture

The Yamba people reside in the mountainous region of Cameroon’s North West Province, close to the Nigerian border. This remote area is part of the Bamenda highlands and is characterized by rocky peaks, narrow valleys, and steep slopes, which add to the isolation of the seventeen Yamba villages spread across this territory. Accessing the villages is difficult, as they are only reachable by four-wheel-drive vehicles or by foot due to underdeveloped roads.
