Your Greatest Investment is in Developing Yourself
Luke 2:52: And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
When I heard for the first time the statement, “Your greatest investment is in developing yourself”, it stroke my heart. Yes, if you desire to make progress, to make more income, you must develop yourself. In other words, Build Your Capacity. Your worth will determine what comes to you, not only your efforts. An upgrading of yourself to a newer version will bring more return to you than your efforts and inputs.
One month of personal development can cover ten years of labor. So, take time to invest on yourself. It is the investment of yourself in your personal development that will insure your progress in in the eyes of all (1 Tim 4:15).

(1) The physical dimension. Jesus did not remain a baby, depending on His parental care.
He increased in stature. He grew to be independent and to take care of Himself and carry Himself to where He needed to be per time. As long as you remain dependent on parental care, you cannot really make impact in life. There must be a required minimal level of physical development.
(2) Jesus also increased in wisdom. He developed intellectual and mental capacity.
Wisdom is the practical application of knowledge and understanding in matters of life. That encompasses all our intellectual potentials, skills and capabilities.
(3) Jesus also increased in favour with God. Finding favour with God is being right with God.
That refers to His spiritual qualities and potentials. He developed His relationship with the Father to the point that even before any ministry work done, God spoke from heaven, “This is my beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased”.
(4) Jesus also grew in favour with man. This refers to social and relational skills.
There are people that are spiritually okay, but emotionally and relationally inadequate. They lack trust and credibility. Take note, the fulfilment of your mission on earth will require that you develop social and relational skills.
How to manage your emotions and self to keep healthy relationship. There are doors that open to us simply by relationships.
