WHEN THE WICKED SEEMS TO PROSPER

Psalms 37:1 Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong;
Psalms 37:2 for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.
Psalms 37:3 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Psalms 37:4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalms 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:
Psalms 37:6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
Psalms 37:7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Psalms 37:8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret —it leads only to evil.
Psalms 37:9 For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
Psalms 37:10 A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.

In a queue at a toll gate recently, many drivers went on the wrong lane; to pay quickly and over take. Our driver was highly tempted, and some passengers urged him to go like the others.
The unfortunate occurred, they were not served, brought in the police who ordered them to go back to their lane.

The wicked may advance through funny ways, cheaters at exams may score 18/20 and be top; but they know those who meritoriously get 15/20.

So too with employment, appointment, advancement, etc. They, the wicked, unjust may enjoy all that the world and its systems offer, but it will end in destruction.
You righteous and seekers of justice, resist the temptation, pressure to take the wrong road, it has an unpleasurable end, apparent peace over things and external, but internal struggle, lack of peace, and seared conscious with many more!

Lasting joy and enjoyment come only from reliance on God, being right at heart and pursuing righteousness or justice in life, relationship and work.
Our God will never abandon the righteous.

Don’t be envious when those who cut corners succeed in sinful ways; when they gain advancements at the expense of merit, the Truth keeps staring us all , and once a while, even lapsed conscience wakes to sincerity.
Brethren, show complete trust in the Lord, believe in His Word and wait patiently on Him; he’ll not fail you.

When the ungodly seems succeeding and advancing in the “traffic of life,” don’t be troubled, resist joining them, trust in God who is the God of justice. Peace of mind in Christ is greater than peace over wealth gained mischievously!

Prayer: O Lord my God, thank You for the grace to resist joining the “get rich quick, at any cost” Help my friend who’s at this junction to stand for the Truth in this our times in Jesus mighty name, Amen!
