I am Eternally Blessed in Jesus Christ

By Eric Jinkwen

Ephesians 1:13:* "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ"

Christianity is not a religion; it is the life of God operating in man. It is an adoption into a new life. Through Jesus Christ, God has given access to eternal life to all humans. Those who believe in the Gospel message about God’s love, forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, have access to a new kind and a new dimension of life, a life of blessedness. Through Jesus Christ, believers are not only blessed, but they become a blessing.

Through Jesus, believers have access to all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. And so, the following becomes true of them:

  1. Believers are part of God’s family and share the same spiritual heritage with Christ. They are co-heirs with Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul wrote, In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will (Ephesians 1:11). This is through Because, Paul explains that believers have been chosen, adopted, justified and glorified. Praise the Lord! Beloved God loves you and has chosen you to be part of His family.
  2. Believers are partakers of the divine nature. The life of God is at work in every child of God, with all His powers, wisdom, understanding and nature. That was the prayer of Paul for the Ephesians; that they may be given spiritual wisdom to understand all these truths (Ephesians 1:15-22). We can manifest God’s nature and character which is the fruit of the Spirit in us.
  3. Believers are also called upon to reign along with Jesus Christ. The Bible reveals this clearly, “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)” (Romans 5:17). If you can believe that you became a sinner because of Adam’s disobedience, you can also believe that you became righteous through Jesus-Christ’s obedience. You did nothing to become a sinner, you were born with that nature. In the same way, you can do nothing to become righteous. You are also born by God Righteous when you believe the Gospel. Hallelujah!

Confess with me:
I am chosen by God
I am justified in Christ
I am adopted in God’s family.
I am now a Righteous.
I am glorified in Christ.
I am blessed and favoured in this life.
I reign with Christ in this life. Hallelujah!!!

I wish a glorious week to all of you.
