Raise Back Your Prayer Altar

Ezekiel 22:30: 
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

One of the greatest disciplines of the Christian life is, Prayer.

Learning to communicate with God is one of the principal things every believer should learn to do. The quality of your spiritual and physical life depends greatly on your effectiveness in prayer. A man or woman who spends quality time with God in the word and in prayer will produce quality results in life.

There are many calamities and evils that could be deviated if children of God spent some more time in praying. In our opening text, God, says, “So, I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”

Where were the intercessors of the Land? The Land was full of evils and nobody seemed to care. Verse 29 says, “The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger. But if there was a man, just one person to pray, God would have spared and restored the land. But unfortunately, there was none.

Is it not the case today? Why are there fewer prayer warriors and intercessors? We are living at a time when, people are gradually losing the fire of God. Fewer people attend prayer meetings in churches. We do not longer hear of people going for personal prayer retreats. This generation has become so busy with social media that we do not spend time with the God. No wonder so many Christians have become more social than divine.

There is nothing supernatural in many believers.

Whatever you spend more time with, you resemble it. If you spend more time with earthly and social things, your life will produce the same. But if you spend more time with God, to seek His face and ask His counsels, you will begin to manifest God’s glory like Moses, Paul, and Jesus.

There are dimensions of your life and destiny that will only be birthed in the secret place of prayers. There are mountains that are brought low only by praying. Some battles are won on the altar of prayer. There are successes that are first recorded on our knees. Is your altar of prayer down or up?

Prayer:
Father, I am the sacrifice, let your fire of prayer descend on me. Let my life burn on the altar of prayer and raise a sweet smelling aroma to you. Amen!
