Do Not Keep Silent over Your Destiny

Isaiah 62:6:
I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest.

Someone said, a closed mouth will produce a closed destiny. When you see things going wrong in your life and around you, it is a call for concern and a call for prayers.

You cannot just remain silent over matters that require actions in prayer. I keep saying all the time that our mouth was not just given to eat food, but also to declare what we want to see. You are the first prophet in your life. If you don’t say it, you will not see it.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue. In as much as negative words from our mouth can destroy our glorious life and destiny, also a silent mouth can keep doors closed in our lives. Prayer is the number one weapon of Christians.

The primary solution of God to a national or personal crisis is prayer. God posted watchmen over Jerusalem. In our context, these are intercessors. For which purpose? They are to pray “until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.” (Verse7). So a consistent prayer life will:

1) establish our glorious destiny;
2) make us a praise of the earth;
3) open up new chapters and new dimensions of our life and our destinies. As is the case in this situation;
4) open up the glorious destiny of a nation or a city, a company or a family.

This is strongly supported by verses 1 to 3. In verse 1 it says; For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet.” Why? We see the reason from verse 2. If we keep praying consistently, these things will happen:

i) our vindication will shine like the dawn;
ii) our salvation will shine like a blazing torch;
iii) the nations will see your vindication and all kings will see your glory;
iv) you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow;
v) you will be a crown of splendor in the LORD’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

Hallelujah! Keep praying and don’t be silent about your destiny.

Prayer:
Take time to pray this passage this weekend. Father, let new dimensions of my glorious destiny be revealed in Jesus names.
