THE COUNTDOWN HAS STARTED, INVEST YOUR TIME IN 2022.
Ephesians 5:15-16: "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil."
Meditation
Every year, the Lord gives you 365 or 366 days to manage. That’s a total of 8,760 or 8784 hours. Time is like telephone airtime bonuses with expiration dateline. If you do not use it wisely on time, it waste away. Paul had an important advice to the Ephesians about time, “Redeem the time.”
Time is one of the most valuable asset God has given to man. You can invest an exchange time to achieve anything worth in life. A good student invest his time to study and gain more knowledge in order succeed. A good businessman invests some of his time in planning his business to grow it and make more money. Good parents invest some of their time with their children to bring them up the right way. A worker must invest part of his time in his work if he wishes to make the most of it. A Christian must invest quality time in the word and in prayer if he/she desires to know God and to grow spiritually. How have you invested the past 10 days?

You cannot grow spiritually if you do not invest time in reading, studying the Bible and do not invest time to attain teachings, conferences that will help you. You must invest time to seek God if you want to build intimacy with Him.
Where you invest your time is where your priorities are. Where you invest your time, is actually where you invest your life. Your time is your life. That’s why we often use the statement, ” life-time”.
Time cannot be stored; it cannot be stopped. You can only plan your activities and manage them per time. Paul calls it, “redeeming your time.” That is making good use of your time.
How then do we redeem time? Paul says in V15, “See that you walk as wise, not as fools.” A fool is not only the mad man who walks naked by the road side one, a fool is also one who has no purpose in life and therefore waste his time on useless matters or doing nothing.
This is the wisdom of time management demands that we:
(1) Understand what the will of God is and invest our time into it.
Ephesians 5:17, “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”
What is the will of God for your today? Next week, next month? Plan them. So, the wisdom of time is also to,
(2) Plan our activities per time.
It is called setting goals with clear objectives so that you can maximize your time. What are you goals for this year? Spiritually, intellectually, financially, ministerially? Are you working on them? We shared about planning and goal setting. Have you set yours? It is already 10 days gone into 2022. I am in Chapter 38 of Genesis. I want to read the 66 books of the Bible this year and grow in God’s word. I am in day 8 of our fasting program building intimacy with God. What about you? Lastly,
(3) Allow yourself to be controlled by the Holy Spirit.
“Do not be drunk with wine which leads to debauchery” which mean for us, to avoid all forms of addictions & distractions. Do not allow any external thing or wrong desires to control you. Let the Spirit of God control you. And so, doing you will be in the right place at the right time and make good use of your time.
