Revelation 2: 25 "But hold fast what you have till I come."

Meditation:

Beloved, before you hold fast to anything, you must make sure that what you are holding is authentic. Let me reassure you, the salvation that you received in Jesus Christ is authentic. Sometimes, we Christians behave as if we were the most miserable and foolish people of the earth. Noooo! We are not. The most important thing that has happened to us, it is our conversion into Christianity.
Nothing in this world is higher and greater than that. Know this:

(1) There is no salvation in any other name.

For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved except the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

(2) It is only in Christianity alone that we find the truth and the doctrine of a Saviour.

(3) Our Saviour lives in us.

That is the Great Mystery of faith, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col. 1:27).

(4) Moreover, there is a great deposit in each believer.

The highest of God’s investment in humankind is in every believer. There is nothing greater than that. Paul said, “we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” Praise the Lord!

Mindful of these truths and looking at the lives of the believers in Thyatira, Jesus, said to them, “But hold fast what you have till I come.” This church was a corrupt church. They lived contrary to the truth.
There was an adulterous woman operating by the spirit of Jezebel who taught and seduced God’s servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. She and the victims were given time to repent; and they did not.

The Lord, promised to cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent from their evil deeds. Jesus said, “I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.”

Beloved, you must hold fast the salvation you have received in Christ because He is coming again. Do not let anything of this world deceive you.
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Some people hold unto some church denomination traditions and do not take time to verify the authenticity of their beliefs and practices.

Some are deceived to live contrary to God’s word and principles. Dear friend, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. The judgement of God shall surely come one day on those who will not abandon their sinful ways. May the Lord keep you focused and strong in Jesus name!
