It Is Your Responsibility to Win the Race
1 Corinthians 15:10:
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them —yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
No matter how much the parent loves the child, he cannot attend classes, nor study nor write exams in the place of the child. He may encourage the child to go to school and to study; but the child must take responsibility, make up time to attend classes, study and write his exams in order to move forward to the next class.
Beloved, do you know that God has done and has provided all that it is required for you to run the race and succeed in life? Yes! That is what we call “GRACE“.
Grace is what God has done for all humans irrespective of us. In our low state of sin, we were separated from the glory of God, hopeless and weak. But,
(1) God through His Son made His grace available to all humans (Romans 10:12).
(2) God also gave us His Word to guide us and the Holy Spirit to empower us.
(3) He gave us all things that can contribute to Life and godliness (2Peter1:2-4).

In other to make it in the race we must take up responsibility to believe and work by faith in the grace of God. Faith is our ability to response to the already available resources God has provided by grace to us. That is the most beautiful and powerful statement you will ever need to understand. Even our faith was given to us by God. God wants you to use it and do exploits.
Many are still waiting for God to do something while God is waiting for them to step out by faith and use His grace. What amount of love and grace do you want God to show you again beyond the sacrifice of His Son for you?
God has already provided all that you need to succeed in life. You have the responsibility to understand that provision and to respond positively in order to make the most in the race. Many Christians behave like someone with a very loaded bank account on his name but dying in hunger as a begger. Beloved, you are rich in God’s grace.
That is what Apostle Paul talks about in 1 Corinthians 15:10. Paul considered himself the least of the Apostles. But he became the most prominent of them all.
How? He took greater advantage of the grace. He did not fold his hands to wait for God to still do something. He stepped out by faith. And grace was working for Him. Paul by grace was a winner in the race.
The same grace was also available to the other apostles. But they did not maximize it. So, stop waiting on God to act. Rise up and take advantage of the already available grace. Grace will also work for you as you step out. The Lord has a good plan for each of us. Whether you win or fail in the race is now your responsibility.
