God’s Great Love Is for You

Ephesians 2:4-5: But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)

Just think about the statement above. God loved you when you didn’t know Him. Even when we were dead in sins, and even when we rejected Him, He loved us and decided to give us live together with Christ. This truly a great love.

No wonder the Bible says in Romans 8: 32, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

Jesus said, “… the greatest love is shown when a person lays down his life for his friends; and you are My friends…” (John 15:13-14).

This is so touching! The Lord Jesus calls us His friends. Can you imagine that? His death on the cross is more than enough demonstration of His love. His death was the sacrifice that brought us into fellowship with God, the Father. Hallelujah!

Even if you didn’t know any other thing, you ought to know today that God loves you, and He’s pleased with you! He delights in you exceedingly, and rejoices over you with singing.

If you were the only one on the surface of the earth, Jesus would still have come to die for you.

David also had this revelation of God’s infinite love way back before the incarnation of Jesus Christ. He said, “Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.” (Psalm 25:6-7)

God has done everything to put you over and make sure all is right and well with you, because of His great love for you. He would pull down any wall, and shake the earth and heavens for your sake. He didn’t come to save us because we were many and were good. No! It’s because of His great love, and you are the object of His love, the personality of His deepest affection, the apple of His eyes, and the treasure of inestimable value. Be conscious of this truth today, that God loves you more than you can possible imagine.
