Why Should We Continually Seek God?

Isaiah 45:15:
Truly, you are a God who hides himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.

The Bible reveals that God is seeking for two categories of people. Those that will worship Him in Spirit and in truth. John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is also searching for those that are looking up to Him. In 2 Chronicles 16:9a; For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is looking up toward him. God shows Himself mighty to those who seek him, who look up to Him. We are encouraged in 1Chronicles 16:10-11 to seek The Lord and to seek His strength. Seek Him while He may still be found (Isaiah 55: 1-6)

We are called to stand in the gap and not to give the Lord rest; (Isaiah 62:6-8). Every genuine watchman will come out with a vision as we see in Habakkuk 2:1-2. By the way, why should we seek The Lord? This is for the following reasons:

(1) The God of Israel hides Himself Isaiah 45:15.

(2) God’s ways are not our ways.

(3) We need to know the plans God has for our lives Jeremiah 29:11-14

(4) Only the seekers of God will gain awareness of their provisions in Christ and experience the blessings of his covenant 2 Chronicles 15:1-4.

(5) Only the hungry and the thirsty for God and his justice will harvest them

(6) Seeking God is part of our prayer pattern Matthew 7:7-8. You ask, you seek and you knock.

This are different dimensions in prayer.
So, let’s meet again tonight at 8:30 pm for a time of encounter with God.

Prayer. Lord thank you for the privilege to call on you and to experience you. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who witnesses your plan and ways to us. I walk in the fulness of your plan for me. Amen.
