RUN WELL IN THE RACE

2 Timothy 4:7
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Meditation.

Do you know that you are running a race? Yes! Your life is like a race. There is a starting line and a finishing line. Apostle Paul was conscious that he was running in a race. At the end of his life. He said, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. You too must run well and finish well in that race.

The race of our lives has to do with our calling and our purpose in life. God created each person for a purpose. Each believer in Christ is called to a specific ministry or role on this earth. You have a calling and a role designed by God. For you to finish well, you have the responsibility to:

(1) discover your purpose or calling.

(2) to fulfill it.

When Paul was through with his purpose on earth, he said: I have finished the race.
Also, Jesus our Lord knew He had a purpose or mission. When he was through, he said, it is finished
In which race are you running? God’s race for your life or your own created race for your life? How well are you running that race? Don’t just live your life aimlessly without a purpose. You can discover the purpose of your life and invest your life in it. Let me tell, you can only bring glory to God on earth when you run well in the race, and you finish it well.

It is only then that you are entitled to a crown of glory. After this life, God has a crown of glory for those who ran well. In John 17:4-5, Jesus was praying, and He said: I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

May I declare that the crown of glory will be yours in Jesus Name!

Apostle Paul knew that after finishing the race, he will receive a crown of glory. He said, now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day (2 Timothy 4:8). Yes, you are running in a race.
Make up your mind to finish it well!
