Hello dear ambassadors of Christ.

John 11:40
Jesus said to her: Did I not tell you that, if you believe, you will see the glory of God?

Theme: seeing the glory of God.

? We learn from here that,

?1) I must believe in order to see the glory of God.

Many people believe in the existence of God but very few believe in God. Believing in God doesn’t mean going to church or reading the Bible or saying a few prayers. To believe in God is not to be in the choir or to wear religious titles. To believe in God is to submit your heart to Jesus Christ. To believe in God is to turn away from evil and choose the good. To believe in God is to become the kind of person God wants us to be, it is to let our life be transformed and restored. If we fail to see the glory of God today it is because our relationship with God has been broken because of sin, it is because our fellowship with God is not good. You cannot see the glory of God by remaining in the same sins or by going from sin to sin. Believing in God changes our bad character because God removes our heart of stone, this heart which resists God and gives us a heart sensitive to his love.

Recommendations : God wants you to really believe in him and not just that you are a member of the Christian religion.

Prayer : Lord, I open my heart to you and I believe in you. Amen

2) I have to believe to see the glory of God. (2)

We were talking about believing in the meaning of saving faith, believing in God and letting the work of the cross of Jesus Christ make an impact in our life. Open the door of our heart and allow Jesus to save us. This belief must be accompanied by obedience. When the Bible says that Abraham believed in God, it emphasizes his obedience. God gave him instructions and he obeyed. Leave your country, he left. Sacrifice your son, he went to do it. Faith without obedience is empty faith. How can we say that we believe in God and do not obey or find excuses and justifications for not doing what he commands us? Jesus said again “Why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not do as I say?” Luke 6:46. The Lord manifests himself in the midst of our obedience, not in the midst of our rebellion. In 2022 if you want to see the glory of God in your life be obedient. Obedience as we have already defined it is to do exactly what God says, willfully, immediately, completely, following the instructions.

Each of us should examine our obedience and be careful this year to do as God commands us.

Recommendations : Examine your life of obedience to God. What are the areas of your life that you find it difficult to obey?

3) I must believe to see the glory of God. (3)

We spoke of the saving faith in which we open our hearts to the love and forgiveness of God to receive salvation, we spoke of the obedient faith which submits to the authority of Christ to do and obey all of God’s instructions. This morning we are talking about dependent faith. To believe in God is to depend on God. Faith can be defined as the trust we place in God. In other words, our verse could be written or interpreted: “If you trust in God you will see his glory”. God is the master of action in our lives. It is important to trust him. One of the reasons we turn from the path of God to take the paths of sin has to do with our lack of trust in God. You cheat because you don’t believe that God is able to give you what your heart desires. I was telling my young people in our last singles seminar that they live in despair and are ready to cling to any snake in the name of marriage because they don’t know and trust God. Those who trust in the Lord are never confused. If you believe you will see the glory of God. It is important for each of us to make the decision to depend on the Lord. I trust God that what he said about me will be realized so I am leaning on him.

4) I must believe to see the glory of God. (4)

V40 (4th part) we spoke yesterday of the dependent faith which consists in trusting in God. We want to go on to say that this dependent faith can also be qualified as an active faith. In fact, it is a faith that is demonstrated because it starts from the transformation that has taken place in our heart and comes into practice in our daily life. Many people say they believe in God, but very few believe God. Our biggest difficulty is having this belief, this faith that takes God at His Word. God says something, I believe it, and that’s enough for me. We live, as I said yesterday, in a generation of worried and desperate Christians. Believing in God means much more than reciting God’s promises it is necessary to be able to appropriate them. To trust and believe in God is to translate his word and apply it in all the circumstances of our life. I believe it will be done to me according to what the Word of God tells me. It will be done to me according to my faith and as my faith is based on what God says in his word so I have nothing to fear. The challenge of faith today is to remain faithful to what God has prescribed for my life, this is what will allow me to see the glory of God.

Recommendation : Let your faith in God transform the course of your existence.

Prayer : Lord help me to believe you in everything. Amen?

Recommendations : lean on the Lord and trust him.

Prayer : I trust you Lord, I depend on you. Amen?

We understood that to believe is to be born again, it is to have this saving faith. We don’t just have to believe in the existence of God because even demons believe. To believe is to obey, whoever says he believes in God and does not obey his instructions do not believe, his faith is without work and is therefore dead. To believe is to trust. God demands total dependence from us. If we are to see the glory of God in 2022, this is the kind of faith we need to have and not just settle for a life of empty religiosity.

?5) My faith makes me see the glory of God

The glory of God is his presence in our life. The presence of God is all we need to seek. Beloved, nothing is more important than the presence of the Lord in our life. The greatest challenge to our personal development, both physical and spiritual, lies in the presence or absence of God by our side. We pray for many things and seek many things but only one is important, the glory of God. The desire of God is that we constantly seek his presence, Jesus said to Martha “Martha, Martha, you are worried and you are agitated for many things. Only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the a good part, which will not be taken away from her. ” Luke 10:41, 42 Let us stop running to the left and to the right, let us sit down like Mary at the feet of Jesus, let us love his presence, let us love his voice, his voice is heard in his Word which is the Bible. The presence of God is all we need.

Recommendations : Approach the Lord and constantly seek his presence.

Prayer : I want you Lord, I want you in my heart, in my body, in my thoughts. Fill me with you in the name of Jesus Christ Amen ?

6) My faith makes me see the glory of God (part 2).

A french musician sang ?il y’a Dieu dedans ooo, il veut tirer aussi sa gloire dedans ooo? meaning There is God in , he also wants to draw his glory out of it. He who believes sees God in everything he goes through. There is no such thing as chance in the life of a man of faith. God is always at work and everything he does is for our good. The end of the project is glory, that is why, as a Christian, difficult situations should not discourage us. When God is done with us like the clay in the potter’s hand, the product will be admirable. If you believe you will see the glory of God because God will manifest Himself to show you that he is the God who never disappoints. Even if the situation is rotten, even if it has already spent 4 days in the grave like Lazarus, even if it already smells bad, there will be a resurrection. Just believe and you will see the glory of God. His presence, his presence, his presence.

Recommendations : Believe in God in your circumstances. Believe that he is present and his glory will be manifested.

Prayer : Thank you for being present in my life Lord. Thank for your manifestation and for taking action even when I can’t see. Amen

7) My faith makes me see the glory of God (part 3).

We have seen the glory of God symbolizing his presence in our life, we have seen the glory of God symbolizing his presence in all situations of our lives. This morning we are talking about the glory of God symbolizing his eternal presence. If you believe, you will see the glory of God, that is to say that you will enter into the joy of your master. Remember the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:23. Faith in God leads us to be faithful to him. It is only faithful men and women who will step into glory. The most desirable thing we said the day before yesterday is the presence of God in our lives and much more his eternal presence with us. The joy we have is that no matter what we experience or go through on this earth, all of our tears will be wiped away. The glory of heaven is better than the privileges of the earth. If unfortunately many men pursue temporal glories, those who have faith in the Lord pursue the glory of God and will see this glory. This morning God invites us to live for the glory of heaven. Because God is present in our life, because we believe that he is present in all the circumstances that we go through, because we believe that we will live in his presence and his eternal glory, from now on let’s do everything for his glory.

Recommendation : May eternal glory be your motivation to live.

Prayer : I thank you Lord for the salvation you granted me and the glory in which you introduced me. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on Christ my hope of glory. Amen?

?8) Seek the glory of God (V40)

We have already seen what believing means to have faith in God and we have subdivided it into saving faith, obedient faith, dependent and active faith. We also saw what it is to see the glory of God and we spoke of the glory of God as his presence in our lives, his presence in the circumstances of our lives and his eternal presence with those who believed in him. . The other aspect that we want to start this morning is working for the glory of God. The Lord tells us through the mouth of the Apostle Paul in 1Corinthians 10: 30-33 that we are to do everything for the glory of God. Everyone wants to see God’s glory manifesting and intervening, but how many of us are truly working to make it happen? To seek the glory of God is to work at all times for God to be honored. Beloved, we are not the people at the center of story, God is and everything is done for his glory. Even our salvation is for his glory, he saves us for the glory of his name. We need to stop thinking about ourselves and start think about God. God gives you a job for his glory first before your personal development that is why when you work and your development comes before God you are in sin. God gives you a husband or a wife for his glory, when your marriage comes before God, you are in sin. God gives you money for his glory, when money takes the lead and you become proud, selfish or you only live to earn more money, you are in sin Many people pray and ask for things to God without receiving them simply because God does not see his glory within. How will what you ask God, help you to serve and honor him better? To seek the glory of God is to put God before all things. The glory of God first before my blossoming. One thing is certain is that if we seek the glory of God we will necessarily be fulfilled, but the race for personal satisfaction often ends up relegating God to the background. If we are to enter into the future glory of God, we must seek it now. Work for God to be honored in everything you do.

Recommendation: Seek the glory of God in all that you do.
