Where Is Your Sense of Fairness?

James 5:1 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you.
James 5:2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes.
James 5:3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.
James 5:4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.
James 5:5 You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.
James 5:6 You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.

How many of us are taking advantage of the weak, less privileged, poor, etc. to promote dependence and oppression if they don’t submit to our whims?
How many are using the uniform staff in our land to treat others ruthlessly?

God our Creator is concerned about the well-being of all his creatures, especially the less privileged than you. He detests oppression, maltreatment and subjugation by the well to do!
Rather, the well to do/rich/more powerful are placed where they are in order to care for, empower, protect and provide for the less privileged.

When workers are thrown out, ignored and unnecessarily with-held from their rights, the God of justice and fairness stands for their defense.
Dear patron or employer, oga, it’s dangerous to fall into the hands of the Righteous Judge – No appeals or manipulation!

Prayer: O Lord my God, increase in us the sense of fairness, your equity and justice as we relate, especiallly with the weaker brethren, in Jesus mighty name!
