You Can Still Rule in the Midst of Your Enemies

Revelation 2:13
“I know your works, and you dwell where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells."

Meditation:

The church of Pergamos was located where Satan dwells and it did not stop them from holding fast to the Name of the Lord. It is amazing that Jesus did not even ask them to relocate, but simply asked them to repent from their sexual immorality and to abandon the false doctrines they were holding to.

Beloved, we live in a world full of wickedness and evil. The good news is that you can be in the most wicked and evil country, in the most dangerous city where Satan has his throne and you are still be true to God. You can still reign and flourish in the midst of your enemies. Many have justified their unfaithfulness and their failures to the environment. But Jesus said about this church that they have held fast to His name.

Listen, it was written about Jesus, “The LORD said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.’ The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!”

The church is the bride of Jesus Christ. If Jesus rules in the midst of His enemies, His church must benefit from His reign. Hallelujah! When you are operating under God’s instructions, where you are will not be a matter; where you are working will not be a matter; your family and tribe backgrounds will not be a matter, the Lord will be fully in charge. He can make you a winner in the midst of your enemies. He can set a table before you in the presence of your enemies.

He can still promote you, bless you and preserve you. He preserved Daniel and his companions in the rudeless and wicked kingdom of Babylon. He prospered and promoted them. He will do same for you. Do not fear because of what you heard about your family, your quarter or your job side. If God is for you, who can be against you. You will win in that Battle. Hallelujah!

Prayer: Read Psalm 23 aloud and take note.

“The Lord is my Shepherd…. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.”
