YOU HAVE IN YOU THE POWER TO INFLUENCE & TO CAUSE CHANGE

Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

One of the fundamental problems of many Christians today is to believe and take advantage of the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in them. Beloved, you are loaded with the same power that was operating in Christ and in His 12 Apostles. The same power that raised Christ from the death is in you (Ephesians 1:15-21). In Acts 1:8, the word “Power” is translated from the Greek word “Dunamis”, which refers to dynamite, the device used to break rocks. The power in you is capable of producing change, inspiring and influencing lives. You must believe it and begin to use it.

What change and influence can you produce around you?

(1) Turn sinners into saints.

Jesus promised the disciples that when the power comes, they will be able to witness for Him. Through their witnesses, sinners will turn to His Kingdom. We can also.

(2) Liberate men from captivities and oppressions.

Christ operated in the power of the Holy Spirit; that same power is in us. Luke 4:18-19, we see the ministry carried out by Jesus Christ: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” You can also,

(3) Accomplish Mighty and Good works.

In John 14:12, Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Have you received Him into your life? Then you can do those works through the Holy Spirit. Jesus could only do those mighty works through the power of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:38 reveals, “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.”

Hallelujah! You can operate this level of anointing. You have to open up your heart and sincerely desire the baptism and infilling of the Holy Spirit. Be ready to be used by God to preach, heal and deliver others. Yes, you can do it through the Holy Spirit in you.
