God prospers those who keep on seeking Him.

God prospers those who keep on seeking Him.
2 Chronicles 26:5
He set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God, and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper.
King Uzziah was still an adolescent of sixteen years old when he became king in Judah. At the beginning of his reign, he did what was right in the eyes of God. Actually, He was seeking God and walked in the revelations or visions of Zechariah the prophet. He humbled himself and followed the instructions of Zechariah. And our text says, “And as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper.”
But a time came in his life when pride took over this king and he began doing things according to his own wisdom and intelligence. Then his life became a tragedy. He ended up in leprosy and in isolation (Verses 16-23). What can we learn from this story?

(1) We must always remain humble and seekers of God.
God designed the human life to always depend on Him. Our spirit part will always need the life and light of God to strive well. As long as we depend on God, He will make our paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-7 reminds to, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Do not be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.” As long as we seek God and His counsels, He prospers us.
(2) Make sure you always connect to the one who can help you know the will and plan of God.
Every believer who wants to prosper will always need a pastor or a servant of God that he can consult from time to time. Look at this text, 2Chronicles 20:20b “Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed.”
Did you see the connections there? We depend on God to be established, but we must submit to His servants or prophets and their counsels to prosper. In my little pastoral experience, I have watched many people who despised my counsels sink and crash. May you find your God sent prophet and pastor.
A sheep without shepherd will always be harassed and tormented (Mathew 9:36). Remain a seeker of God and you will keep prospering.
