KILL THE SPIRIT OF FEAR BEFORE IT KILLS YOUR FUTURE

2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

One of the dangerous killers of destinies is the spirit of fear. More than what a witch or a wizard can do, fear can freeze someone’s potentials. Fear can erect a wall of limitations on someone’s destiny. Fear is an agent of anti-progress.

The spirit of fear is an attitude a mindset that controls its victims and keep them of the same spot. It manifests in different ways: fear of the future; fear of failure; fear of situation; fear of people; fear of death; fear of Satan and demons; fear that what happened to others, will happen to you; fear of rejection and so on. What is your own fear?

Listen the Bible says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Praise the Lord!
You have in you the spirit of power, and of love and of sound mind. Rise beyond that fear in your life. Overcome that fear limiting you.

Origin of the spirit of fear

This spirit is sometimes originated from low self-esteem. That was the case of Ten of the spies Moses sent to explore the Promise Land. Fear griped their heart because they saw themselves as grasshoppers before the people of the land. Here is a portion of their statement, Numbers 13:33: “There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

Are you seeing that? Their low self esteem brought fear in their heart. They felt intimidated and threatened by the people in the Promised Land and they disqualified themselves. God was angry with that generation and they all perished in the wilderness, just some miles away from their destiny land. Many people’s dreams are paralyzed by fear.

Many people’s destinies are stuck because of fear. Many people’s potentials are frozen because of fear. What is your own fear? Is that fear really worth it?
