Dont waste energy on what you can do nothing about

By Eric Jinkwen

I Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

There are some problems you can do nothing about them. Stop wasting your energy on them. Your gender, your height, your race, the climate, your nationality… you cannot do anything about them.

It is God who decided where you should be born, your gender, your color and the rest (Acts 17: 24-26). Nobody chose his parents, nor his nation.

I am sure if God asked many of us to choose in his which country to be born, there are some parts of the world that would never be inhabited. You know what I am talking about. Many will not choose Cameroon. But, God does not think that way.

Where God places you, is never a mistake. You can succeed anywhere by the grace of God. Learn to appreciate Him for His providence and sovereignty over your life. Instead of complaining and fighting the wrong fights, take responsibility over your life and your destiny.

Lay hold on eternal life to which you were called, the abundant life Jesus came to give to all humans. That is the major concern of life to handle.

So, understand that God made no error choosing your country, your parents, and your gender. Many people have missed their destinies because in their quest to run away from their country in search of greener pastures, they have disconnected from the location where God wanted to use them to make an impact.

Travelling abroad is good, but travelling abroad in God’s plan is best. As far as God is concerned, nobody is disadvantaged in God’s plan. Look at what Paul said, “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.” (Rom 10:12)
Calling upon God is what makes the difference. “For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’” (Rom 10:13)

This is the jackpot of life, calling upon the name of the Lord and looking up to Him for direction and
guidance. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus was teaching on how to overcome worries and the cares of life and He said, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

That verse is true and the choice is yours to seek and abide in Him and in His word. Stop rejecting who you, appreciate God for your difference and you will make the difference.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for my gender, my parents and my nationality. I believe that, with You, there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. And so, I choose to call upon you name everyday, help me Lord in Jesus name, amen.
