Believing Leads You to See God’s Glory
John 11:40: Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
Mary and Martha had a brother called Lazurus who became critically sick. They were all close friends of Jesus Christ and He loved them. In fact, it was this Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. You would have thought that since they were friends of Jesus, they should not have any trouble. But, Lazurus was sick to the point of death.
Worse again, when words reached Jesus about the situation, He did not immediately come. He delayed again for some days.

Friends, what do we learn here? Even as a friend of Jesus, you can face challenges. Yes! We can encounter problems because we live in a fallen world. That does not mean God does not love us or that He has forgotten about us. In fact, the Bible says, nothing can separate us from His love manifested through Jesus Christ. Not even that problem.
The good news is that our light and momentary afflictions are working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. That glory shall be manifested if we remain in faith.
What do you do in such moments of troubles?
(1) Keep your Positive Confession.
So, “When Jesus heard about the sickness, He said, ‘This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.’” (John 11:4). Did you hear that? Jesus is not alarmed nor worried. He keeps His focus on God’s glory.
(2) Keep believing and don’t lose hope even when things go contrary.
You know that Lazurus finally died. And when Jesus finally arrived, it seemed to be too late. But, let me say this to you friend, it may be too late for man, but not for God. Jesus said to Mary and Martha, “Your brother will rise again.” Hallelujah. Because the resurrection and the life was there present. Again He reminded Martha, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
Beloved, if you can keep your faith and keep believing , it is never too late. God can turn your situation around. Even if it is already smelling as it was said about Lazurus, keep your faith; role away the stone of shame, of doubt, of fear, of hopelessness and believe again. Is it sickness, a financial challenge, a marital problem, a professional set back… Believe and you will see the glory of God.

Prayer: Father, I believe you can make a way where there seems to be no way. Turn my situation around. Thank you in Jesus name.
