You Are a Creature of God’s Glory

Exodus 33:18:
And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.

Just imagine what this word glory signify to you. Glory according to an English Dictionary means:
(1) Praise, honor, admiration of something or somebody;
(2) It is the distinction accorded by common consent to a person or thing;
(3) It is also a high reputation, an honorable fame or renown;
(4) Glory is also, the worth, that quality in a person or things which secures general praise or honor;
(5) Glory is the occasion of praise, excellency, brilliancy, and splendor. Hallelujah!

Moses was bold enough to demand to see God’s glory. In reality it was the Essence and Person of God that Moses demanded to see (V19). Hear the reply of God to Moses’ request, Exodus 33:20: “But He said, ‘You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.'”

As you can see, God did not rebuke Moses; but simply corrected his request and provided a secured place for Moses to see His glory. Verse 21: And the LORD said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock.

Beloved, we are in that secured place.

That “rock” is Jesus Christ. In Him, we have access to God’s unlimited realms of glory. In Christ, “we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” Again it is written in 1 Corinthians 2:9, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'”

God has prepared great things for us. Hallelujah! But sometimes we are too limited in our imagination and our prayers that we don’t make big demands. Friends, what your mind cannot grasp, your eyes may not see and your hands will never handle.

This word glory is what describes the believer’s life.

Yes! You are the object of God’s praise and honour. You are person of high reputation. Prophets and Angel’s sought to know in which time the glory of God will be revealed to such a degree and will reside in man. The fullness of God’s glory was manifested in Christ. And the Bible says, “Christ in you the hope of glory.”

If anything in your life right now does not resemble glory, command it to adjust.

I want to challenge you to expand your imagination. Think of what God wants to do through you. If he used Moses that much in the Covenant of letters, what about us in the Covenant of the Spirit?
